Summer Fun Classes

Through the summer months we run a lighter, lively schedule designed to keep skills sharp without the intensity of the competitive term. It is a wonderful time for current students to consolidate what they have learned and for brand-new dancers to dip a toe into Highland dance in a no-pressure setting. Classes typically run early in the week, with exact days and times confirmed each summer.

Summer Dance Camp

Our Summer Fun camp is a highlight of the year. Generally led by an experienced college-age instructor who came up through our own program — someone with years of competitive and teaching experience — camp blends focused Highland dance instruction with games, music, and Celtic culture. It is a joyful, immersive way for young dancers to grow quickly while making friends who share their love of dance.

Spaces in camp are limited and tend to fill, so if you have any interest, please let us know early. We are glad to tailor the experience to a range of ages and abilities.

Dancing Through Games Season

Summer is also peak Highland Games season across the country, when clans, pipers, and dancers gather for traditional Scottish festivals. Many of our dancers compete at these events, and summer training helps them stay competition-ready. If you have never attended a Highland Games, we highly recommend it — you can find gatherings near you through directories such as the Association of Scottish Games and Festivals.
